When the Kappa FuturFestival opened its doors to two days of Electronic music on 7th and 8th July 2018, a brand-new stage area was one of the attractions for the concert goers. What visitors were less likely to notice was that this stage is also one of the focus areas for the deployment of the MONICA solutions with the aim to improve their overall event experience.
DTU Elektros MONICA group spent several days on site setting up the MONICA sound control system, before the Kappa FuturFestival opened its doors to the public.
The team report back that the system; consisting of sixteen subwoofers with the aim of reducing the sound level at low frequencies, ran successfully during the entire weekend.
Data is now being processed in order to estimate the reduction achieved and enhance the performance of the system for an upcoming event in Tivoli on the 31st August.
