The best music experience that also complies with local regulations on environmental sound exposure.

One challenge of outdoor concerts is to ensure adequate levels for the audience while avoiding disturbance of the surroundings. Researchers at DTU Elektro outline the initial concept of a sound field control (SFC) system for tackling this issue using sound-zoning. The system uses Bayesian inference to update a sound propagation model and a simulation in which SFC and propagation model work together is presented.

The MONICA project stands for Management of Networked IoT Wearables – Very Large Scale Demonstration of Cultural Societal Applications. It is a 36-month Innovation Action, co-funded by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, under Large Scale Pilots, Objective Pilot 3: Wearables for smart ecosystems, Grant Agreement No 732350his issue using sound-zoning.
