The research in the field of micro-manufacturing and material/process technology is concentrated on the application of advanced moulding processes, such as 2K and metal/ceramic injection moulding. Additionally, it focuses on process simulation of moulding processes, eg. for fabrication of micro size complex and thin-walled structures using advanced composite materials.
Special attention is also given to high-precision and low-tolerance replication of micro size objects with small details, especially considering intercomponent connections and assemblies.
The research is done in collaboration with the section of Manufacturing Engineering, DTU Mechanical Engineering.
