Research talent wins pitch battle at Danish Sound Day

Finnur Pind, industrial PhD student at Henning Larsen, won this years pitch battle with his application "Architecture & Acoustics: An improved design process by means of wave-based virtual acoustics"

 

With rapidly changing workplaces there is a call for designing room acoustics and architecture, where lighting, soundscape, furnishing etc are combined into a dynamic, holistic and immersive vitual 3D experience.

In acknowledgement of the successful pitch, the judges were unanamous in their ruling that there was a clear need for this type of research in the future. 

 

Congratulations to Finnur who wins a travel grant worth 8.000 DKK for scientific, research or educational purposes


Young researchers based in Danish universities are annually invited to join the Danish Research Talent Pitch Battle at Danish Sound Day to present their research to leading industry representatives, investors, researchers and organisations from the Danish Sound ecosystem.
