Berlingske were recently on a visit to DTU Elektro in an attempt to explore "silence" and our growing need for complete soundlessness on our ever increasing noise polluted planet.

With a growing number of "quiet" arrangements becoming increasingly popular, Berlingske has visited a night church's "quiet hour" and DTU Elektro's anechoic room in order to gain a deeper understanding on the concept of complete silence in a noisy world.

Associate Professor Efrén Fernandez Grande explains how the Acoustic Technology group is working on a solution to the bothersome noise generated from concerts and music festivals and how noise absorbing loudspeakers can help, without compromising the sound experience for the customer.
